When I think of Christmas one of the things I think about is crafting. Whether by yourself or with the kids, crafts are a fun way to celebrate the season and make memories you will have for years. I so fondly remember all the Christmas crafts I made in school and with my Grandma. Recently my sisters (one in elementary school and one in high school) and I began a holiday tradition. We take a day in December and make cookies, do a craft, watch a Christmas movie, and just hang out. Anyhow, the following is little collection of Christmas crafts from all over the net. I can't wait to try some of these!<br /><br /></div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 313px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413427447841352530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi83xwa9505dUgfwbLDNi_jK7_3WOyHItLwNfPz68OFaYKNaK_aRSGXY_VpMk7_njKFvridWvJhZfTAlMWvOmlW4toacIxhkNiyEEcjqBq_uzOl0pGt6xEOOkIiMfVLHEL5bR2WojzcHWC6/s400/xmas2.jpg" /><br /></div><div align="center"><br /><br /></div><p align="center">An adorable and creative advent calendar in miniature. The cuteness is almost unbearable! #1 <a href="http://www.countryliving.com/crafts/projects/craft-ideas-for-christmas-decorations-1209?click=pp">HERE</a> </p><p align="center"> </p><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 313px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413428301731124914" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC0RQsT_tu_jRJaKam_1IZDyh9RtPiSXQAhd6I1UQ3i8m-mYwT_Hs22kKMfq5IDT7066U515F7hSAGGH5VhzhsUq8ELiF7rRwYnfcuH_q8K17cC5o-bp3QbgU1tOQEfMNfYKt_D2Qc2tDv/s400/Xmas4.jpg" /><br />A memorable and beautiful take on the classic wreath. It would also be fun to spruce this project up using old colored Christmas photos or even embellishing with <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">scrapbooking</span> supplies like ribbon and glitter. #11 <a href="http://www.countryliving.com/crafts/projects/craft-ideas-for-christmas-decorations-1209?click=pp">HERE</a></div><p align="center"><br /></p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 225px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 281px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413428289924603362" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8e61xsK1hAn-mt0u-9k7wMmBKNpcN1dCMTShH8ZMAwknONDt0EJ5aTiY5egvXm1LoJUj8hXllRXtHC0rvLTyv5LQ-fFshKQW1Y3ZOBLNlnZ9difPUbgV9fatNW8FXtydWlYstFtHFzTHR/s400/xmas3.jpg" /> <div align="center">Snowmen that double as gift boxes...so fun. <a href="http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/sparkling-snowman-treat-boxes">HERE</a> </div><div align="center"><br /><br /> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 379px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413428284435547570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8ANxtLbTyfCAP2krRQa45Uc95rUq89ej7C8EMuSOXHKqHB62LnVnUEhu1LUos_O3x0px4_XC6NXa6m-lFfR15FjU6umE0UG2vAhDSGgEhBF4nzSLq23Pkz-olv3a-YMuaY6Ct7dzUfD1n/s400/xmas1.jpg" /> <p align="center">There's something so timeless and fun about these ornaments. <a href="http://www.scrapbooksetc.com/ideas/holidays/holiday-decoration_ss10.html">HERE</a><br /><br /></p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413433692675932546" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSrZbFByZRRzni0eXiOpV8aDt5Mrv4r2Fv2jldg8e6E4TDRf7XZRCZurM7pKVhcpB_qoIWfhRuZHulkS8xpcNFlE4kropctXe_xDUWJApOsVwhlFoOMI4lFpeuvU8k0JcZAiy1mXbDM-Xq/s400/Xmas5.jpg" /> <p align="center">And my personal favorite is this gorgeous little home that could be used in a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">village</span> or strung up for use as an ornament. I was inspired by the new goodies I got from Sweet Shoppe Designs (<a href="http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/home.php">here</a>) on Friday for 40% off. Score! Everything is on sale for 20% on Sunday though so you can still get in on the action. After seeing The Blindside on Saturday night I sat here at my little desk, scrapping away, cocoa in hand and all-in-all despite having to work on a Saturday it was a good day. The Blindside by the way is a-may-zing! It warmed even my cold football-hating heart. Anyhow, here are my layouts:<br /><br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409434223386686450" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFQ7yJsap1GgqImWpHF8648adgtPsuVWm3FT1ZT5epl07WDTuD_XJascDdFl6Rt88K2FmeDva05e5q3hjfSow7SFJmtPype_gmkel0kFaz5SkfYDQQDG5STmcoemBxj5DrdmI-aP0q4YJp/s400/S3.jpg" border="0" /> <p align="center"> A fun girly page with sister and my sweet Jewel.</p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409434232016476786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvnFZ3U-WbgrUmokx6BPD9hBAjt5nOaCBiETL8NDoSJWYxkAIF1oQ-YhBuV7Xp4GvfANEp1oNAYjW0YSFKWU_feZiTw2keG-fwWaRknZN5blqgbNzITJE7vCHBvbgBjNDbdLSFDqhWkt9h/s400/S4.jpg" border="0" /> <p align="center">Above is page one (left side) of my Apple Hill layout.</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5409434236156917890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3NmgMrAZguFxNkwsFYFV_Jg8cwdMgwBDJ66V5MF5PHRYe4e1c_sYBxGGRRWmagAkgZySrkUqtCoNRFi6zOkqY9OEou6tRfcOixu5fp8wWa5adX4F1FTJksggtno-GR4GdI6XuDHj253tD/s400/S5.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="center">And page 2. It is the story of the Mayflower pilgrims' perilous journey to the New World. Though it is a Hollywood-ized version of the pilgrim's tale, you can still appreciate all that pilgrims went through to make a new life for themselves. The storm scene is particularly well done for the time period. Actors Spencer Tracy, Gene Tierney, and Van Johnson give great performances. I'd don't think I've ever seen Tracy this mean on film!</div>A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-82324514833444240862009-11-25T18:53:00.000-08:002009-11-25T19:01:18.108-08:00<div align="center">Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and blessed Thanksgiving. Fans of Hitchcock and the film <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">noir</span> genre will love this one as it has elements of both. Rose (Monroe) plots with her lover to have her husband (<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Cotten</span>) murdered while a honeymooning couple become <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">suspicious</span> of the odd couple occupying the suite they were supposed to have. This movie has lots to love...you have Marilyn Monroe in an early (and in my opinion one of her best) roles, you have the building psychological tension, and of course the amazing geography of Niagara Falls.</p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 365px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 431px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/marilyn-monroe-101.jpg" /><br /><a href="http://i.thisislondon.co.uk/i/pix/2009/03/monroe-415x602.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 259px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 407px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://i.thisislondon.co.uk/i/pix/2009/03/monroe-415x602.jpg" /></a><br /><div>Memorable quote: The honeymooning wife when her husband asks her why she doesn't where the type of dress Rose wears: "Listen, for a dress like that you've got to start laying plans when you're about 13."</div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 285px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 433px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://www.doctormacro1.info/Images/Monroe,%20Marilyn/Annex/Annex%20-%20Monroe,%20Marilyn%20(Niagara)_05.jpg" /><br /><div align="center">Don't miss it!</div>A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-36919511705336060302009-11-20T15:36:00.001-08:002009-11-20T15:39:26.488-08:00<div align="center"><a href="http://www.shopruche.com/bmz_cache/2/28d21e111fcd79dac3db548fe64d39a0.image.300x300.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://www.shopruche.com/bmz_cache/2/28d21e111fcd79dac3db548fe64d39a0.image.300x300.jpg" /></a> I so want these! I think the key is to vary the textures used in a neutral room. Adding a 'pop' of color either in bright or pastels can really draw the eye toward a piece(s) you want to show off. Plus, neutrals make rooms look larger than what they really are by bouncing the light around.<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403870172289063826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhb4e8QCEDDQw07MVVuf17FDwyN8_oLXE14YdpdvrWJXpSqg4XlGqWexESz9pnITkBo1IcX-YBs03R6ycPTx2U172DhuCp4Ndzr7W0oChYQ8ptZY32UD7tvNirSXEvmhF7NmMGxkBmwp9z/s400/neutrals1.bmp" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403870412372048642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTpRdKtFd6uC0DblNW4gGjBjaDGIo-ike3mbQhHs_tEOUue4T1yPCP1yAlqCUlIj3wWHNfO-jxsAZfxt3LtA2HqFo8QVBjAZfjE44yzi8R2JWdvQjwCL6QDIC4jCY4t3cToUxKKZ02nReh/s400/neutrals4.bmp" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403870891071903250" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 395px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0qgOtxz-kKpvQy-eECdRFPYxp16G1XSHsrkFdatGWmNTysFeQHuN2B41KmC4vGmiLLv27eE6RH-NNZ41954nhSZ5KYIcJKpOeWe3dp7SjnacukMCifrliTpI4suI138TqLuwk-m5VpVS4/s400/neutrals3.bmp" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403870723179116354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 321px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjrOXJcRZ8WBpR2nFxstqd3vSEfgfy0k73Pv-UaQ_yHbbJqUwlGfph5Edqj1B5GNQf5FLABoLODC_hg9Jj6-NUli0pzSnTvjpEb5N69mOGapwjwPf-I-gRmyLRiOaSxG2cgLK_QWo-S_o6/s400/neutrals5.bmp" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403871045090573794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCW5YiM_o1WbadmOn93bRO3zASyRBc0FR-_tEQuYEHILSSbFsaFYAbQsMSEHtRTmlxAfIa-SFWHdHp3-ZTrv64ImPCwnbvW2z9dKRXNj2WbRw8JjlAa9FcZTWu7vwj-iuXeZVMtJ0jv3Oe/s400/neutrals6.bmp" border="0" /><br /><br /><em>All images from the lovely homesandgardens.com (who I think should really consider publishing an American version of their magazine!)</em>A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-83332127321938125402009-11-13T22:55:00.000-08:002009-11-13T23:07:50.097-08:00Friday Flic!<p align="center"><img src="http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5986/81764505.jpg" /></p><br />1948's Mr. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Blandings</span> Builds his Dream House is one of the funniest movies of all time. When ad man Mr. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Blandings</span> decides that a quaint country house is the answer to his family's New York <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">cracker box</span> apartment chaos breaks out with hilarious results. There's something for everyone, whether you've built a house or are cramped in your current one. Cary Grant and Myrna Loy are wickedly spot on. The film gets bonus points for being an <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">excellent</span> time capsule of life and design in the 1940s.<br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><img src="http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/4589/96656191.jpg" /></p><p align="left"><br /><br />Myrna Loy as Muriel <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Blandings</span> to her designer: "I want it to be a soft green, not as blue-green as a robin's egg, but not as yellow-green as daffodil buds. Now, the only sample I could get is a little too yellow, but don't let whoever does it go to the other extreme and get it too blue. It should just be a sort of grayish-yellow-green. Now, the dining room. I'd like yellow. Not just yellow; a very gay yellow. Something bright and sunshine-y. I tell you, Mr. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">PeDelford</span>, if you'll send one of your men to the grocer for a pound of their best butter, and match that exactly, you can't go wrong! Now, this is the paper we're going to use in the hall. It's flowered, but I don't want the ceiling to match any of the colors of the flowers. There's some little dots in the background, and it's these dots I want you to match. Not the little greenish dot near the hollyhock leaf, but the little bluish dot between the rosebud and the delphinium blossom. Is that clear? Now the kitchen is to be white. Not a cold, antiseptic hospital white. A little warmer, but still, not to suggest any other color but white. Now for the powder room - in here - I want you to match this thread, and don't lose it. It's the only spool I have and I had an awful time finding it! As you can see, it's practically an apple red. New name, new look, new (re) committed blogger. In addition to normal posts about books, creating, photography, gardening, design, and life in general I've decided to make myself do two themed posts a week. Fridays will feature a "Friday Flick" and Sundays are hereby dubbed "Scrappin' Sundays". So before we get to the scrapbook page, let me just say that I love the tandem print featured above. I think it would make a great (and unique) wedding or shower invitation for an adventurous couple. The herbs and tomatoes are thriving in the heat and sun as are the zinnias and sunflowers but the rest of the garden is <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">definitely</span> protesting. So far I've only lost the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">lobelia</span> which were planted in March. They had faded and I trimmed them back in hopes that they would come back but the heat was just too much. Anyhow, here's a little tour of what's happening in my garden.<br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaTMjSG34OQXKtLFuxnqEiV8J-dq0qYOKbD5iomFZCFkTW2oc0of9qY1pj6fCovObIszl5Z4NSsbnzxJrocLTESKmZdfcsta_UqliqO_jDuoOYg9WFYG7lAdEik5OkaR-puV2HSHNIcRvm/s1600-h/7-16-09+191.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359552331161755634" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 463px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 322px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaTMjSG34OQXKtLFuxnqEiV8J-dq0qYOKbD5iomFZCFkTW2oc0of9qY1pj6fCovObIszl5Z4NSsbnzxJrocLTESKmZdfcsta_UqliqO_jDuoOYg9WFYG7lAdEik5OkaR-puV2HSHNIcRvm/s400/7-16-09+191.jpg" border="0" /></a> The raised herb bed. I am so excited! We are going to a few nurseries and to Filoli gardens in the Bay Area on Thursday. Their website, <a href="http://www.filoli.org/">http://www.filoli.org/</a>, is absolutely drool inducing-- in a good way! Until then, here are some pictures I found while cleaning out my e-mail. They are of a beautiful bouquet that someone brought in to work back in April.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY-3-NA1ykMDzZOMvulr5OWfHWJ0hEDmb67DtWmCzKy5PSZ2QSi3FKHUv9daXPG2srd71l_5bXgw0NY-FuOdS_ks4J3k7_OeAWr59eOSTZ2t5kZjpsTjXk9q4NlC8w3YmX5ZReFzJ2n0Zw/s1600-h/c.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348182638092042738" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY-3-NA1ykMDzZOMvulr5OWfHWJ0hEDmb67DtWmCzKy5PSZ2QSi3FKHUv9daXPG2srd71l_5bXgw0NY-FuOdS_ks4J3k7_OeAWr59eOSTZ2t5kZjpsTjXk9q4NlC8w3YmX5ZReFzJ2n0Zw/s400/c.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBZydbggE27Fv77k3Z7N4nkxPh7ju2EvjCUcLwxv3MIiWsfPWmeW6-9wYe93RNXX69lqFYLA5GJXnefvsp_F9wwu13zLrN_uwqyFLZNMbTgShPTFRUbvGhdmfB7HoC0iMx3liHCQRa8MDI/s1600-h/b.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348182514201109010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBZydbggE27Fv77k3Z7N4nkxPh7ju2EvjCUcLwxv3MIiWsfPWmeW6-9wYe93RNXX69lqFYLA5GJXnefvsp_F9wwu13zLrN_uwqyFLZNMbTgShPTFRUbvGhdmfB7HoC0iMx3liHCQRa8MDI/s400/b.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4h_oWTJPnoY8TD8aEoUQDONNQx9fUIqUotgtZM03-ivbUqONPbCtP5qTdPT_MeHwP6sIcw5uUT2SuOR06bgRUXObrY02L9lJWKNva4s5MHgC8C28eSKw5Cj77YGdusSLUqpua_cd5p7wV/s1600-h/a.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348182392420124146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4h_oWTJPnoY8TD8aEoUQDONNQx9fUIqUotgtZM03-ivbUqONPbCtP5qTdPT_MeHwP6sIcw5uUT2SuOR06bgRUXObrY02L9lJWKNva4s5MHgC8C28eSKw5Cj77YGdusSLUqpua_cd5p7wV/s400/a.jpg" border="0" /></a></div>A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-59257436491770030272009-06-02T22:25:00.001-07:002009-06-02T22:38:54.609-07:00After lots of internal debate, I have decided to not take any classes this summer. The last 5 summers (since I was 15) I've only not been working and/or going to school once and that summer was spent moving so it wasn't like it was that much fun. Last summer I really killed myself. I took three classes because I was in a big hurry to finish junior college. So I talked it over with the parents and they were more supportive of me taking the summer off than I initially was! Perhaps it has something to do with the $900 + textbooks price tag? Regardless I am beyond excited. I'll continue to work weekends and pick up some Monday shifts but I will be free of college for 2.5 months! Don't get me wrong, I love learning but I'm burned out with paper writing and lectures that drag on forever.<br /><br />My goals for the summer include:<br />*Re-doing the front yard and making it the most beautiful in our development :)<br />*Catching up on the time I've missed with my half-sister and step-sister<br />*Day trips to LA, Magic Mountain (an amusement park), and the beach<br />*Spending lots of time in my garden, getting a tan, and reading<br />*Doing my quarterly cleaning out and re-organizing of my room<br /><br />I'm so excited I don't know whether to cry with joy or jump up and down like a 3-year old!A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-30693324878062734262009-05-27T00:30:00.000-07:002009-11-06T01:11:30.198-08:00In the Garden<div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center">I am possibly the worst blog-updater in the history of the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">internet</span>; but on a positive note, I've developed an obsession-er-interest in gardening and my lack of <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">internet</span> use has <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">definitely</span> given more time to plant. I wanted to post pictures of my Memorial Day project but my camera died. Yesterday I dug out 3 ugly shrubs and replaced them with some new roses. I chose Geoff Hamilton, Abraham Darby, Eden, and an <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">un</span>marked one that may be Pope John Paul. It was brutal work because I had to some serious amending to the sandy soil after removing the shrubs. But I'm very pleased and it was all worth it; my back, however, begs to differ at this moment in time. :)A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-245172931884186297.post-13188915899961051912009-03-26T00:10:00.000-07:002009-03-26T00:16:33.245-07:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtU2sKL-qgJhUB9ClRooSupgbf4DaHyo_vd-DDqPTguo3czo96_lbPZk3mKHJB3P4zv9nPwcm87RsjoL2SEeVUY68hpVa9C3_ix-IQMSYFhJVorMp9Oy_gulm63JSwCGzwKGVViW9b7pYb/s1600-h/homeroomstudio.com1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317391103128425602" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 280px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtU2sKL-qgJhUB9ClRooSupgbf4DaHyo_vd-DDqPTguo3czo96_lbPZk3mKHJB3P4zv9nPwcm87RsjoL2SEeVUY68hpVa9C3_ix-IQMSYFhJVorMp9Oy_gulm63JSwCGzwKGVViW9b7pYb/s320/homeroomstudio.com1.jpg" border="0" /></a>Spring break has been going lovely so far. I can't tell you how nice it is to have time off to do things for ME! I've been catching up on sleep, gardening, re-organizing my room, and selling some things I no longer use. Tomorrow, I'm looking forward to a little road/shopping trip with my dear sister Alyse. My spring wardrobe needs a breath of fresh air so *fingers crossed*.<br /><br /><div align="center">pic courtesy of homeroomstudio.com<br /></div><div align="center"><br> </div><div align="left">PS- For all the other students in blog land who are enjoying this blessed break- Have a wonderful, safe time.</div>A Life Enchanted by Laurenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15599062735969730289noreply@blogger.com1
